Russia has refused to sell gas for foreign currency

The German Ministry of Finance is working on the nationalization of the German “daughters” of Gazprom and Rosneft. This was reported by the Handelsblatt newspaper, citing sources in government circles. According to them, these are Gazprom Germania and Rosneft Deutschland.

“Senior officials (Ministry of Finance of Germany – URA.RU) are working on the internal expropriation and nationalization of German subsidiaries of Russian energy companies Gazprom and Rosneft,” Handelsblatt writes. It is reported that these are subsidiaries of Gazprom Germania and Rosneft Deutschland.

On March 30, the German authorities launched an emergency plan in case of cessation of gas supplies from Russia. According to the head of the German Ministry of Economy Robert Habek, the authorities will now monitor the situation with gas. Germany has previously refused to comply with an ultimatum from Russian President Vladimir Putin to pay for gas. Putin has previously said that countries recognized by Russia as unfriendly (especially Europe and the United States) will be required to pay for gas in rubles. This decision of the head of state, according to a poll by VTsIOM, was approved by 76% of Russians.
