Sanctions against Russia in general and the Urals in particular
Russia is introducing a visa response for citizens of unfriendly states. The advisory decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the decree, from today foreign politicians, diplomats and journalists will receive visas to Russia on a general basis, not under a simplified scheme. The President stressed that the decree is “an urgent measure in response to the unfriendly actions of the European Union, a number of foreign states and their citizens.” The order is published on the website of legal information.
Western countries began imposing sanctions on Russia after the Russian leader announced the launch of a special operation in Ukraine. According to Putin, this was necessary to prevent a large-scale attack on Donbass and to stop the genocide of civilians. Despite this, Western countries have intensified sanctions on Russia, which began in the 2000s. European leaders have acknowledged that they intend to strike at every Russian. Putin called it a war waged by information, political and economic methods. Among the measures of influence were the closure of the skies for aircraft from Russia, restrictions on the export of technology to Russia, aircraft, equipment, etc. Later, Russia compiled a list of unfriendly states.
