Obtaining Russian certificates of airworthiness will allow the airline to continue using the fleet of foreign aircraft under the national flag of the country to organize uninterrupted air communication with remote regions, “- said TASS a representative of the airline.
It is specified that at the moment there are 125 planes in the park of “Russia”. In addition to Russia’s SSJ 100, the airline uses Airbus A319 / 320, Boeing 737, 777 and 747. Russian SSJ 100, owned by Russian lessors, will be used to reduce the risk of disrupting the flight program when flying abroad, the airline said.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Transport has developed a project under which the return of aircraft to the manufacturer and the conditions of return should be agreed upon by the decision of the government commission on import substitution. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the registration of rights to foreign aircraft.
Problems with flights of Russian air carriers began after the introduction of Western sanctions against Russia. EU countries have banned the crossing of its airspace by Russian aircraft, as well as the supply and leasing of aircraft, helicopters and other aircraft in Russia, their insurance and maintenance.
