Special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine

The most critical humanitarian situation today is in Ukraine in Kharkiv. This assessment was given by the head of the National Center for Defense Management of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev.

“The humanitarian situation in a number of settlements under the control of official Kiev continues to deteriorate rapidly, with the most critical situation today being in Kharkiv,” Mizintsev said during a briefing. According to him, locals, fearing provocations from nationalists, are hiding in basements. Many houses do not have heating, electricity and gas, and utilities do not carry out restoration work.

In addition, citizens are denied medical care in hospitals and are treated only by the Ukrainian military, as well as militants of territorial defense. There are no vital medicines in city pharmacies. “Grocery stores are open two or three hours a day, there are almost no customers in them, as many people have simply run out of money,” the Defense Ministry spokesman added.

Earlier it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is irrevocably kidnapping civilians in Kharkov for allegedly good treatment of Russia. Militants of nationalist battalions also created “flying death squads” from off-road vehicles, which were confiscated from civilians.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special operation in Ukraine on February 24. According to him, the priority of the Russian army is the elimination of useless casualties among the civilian population, the destruction of military infrastructure, equipment and weapons of the APU and national battalions with high-precision means. Offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces are being carried out in various directions: as a result, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Mykolayiv have been blocked. Kherson and most of the Zaporozhye region are under full control. Significant territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk people’s republics were liberated.
