Georgy Zelyapukin, a 22-year-old serviceman from the Perm region, died during a special operation in Ukraine. He was a contract sailor. Information about his death was confirmed by the Department of Information Policy of the Governor of the Perm Krai and expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased soldier.
Georgy Zelyapukin was born in the small village of Novoilinsky, Perm Krai. In his family, the topic of the army and the defense of the Motherland were frequent topics of conversation. The older brother served in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the father – in the Coast Guard. And little George already knew that when he grew up, he would link his life with the armed forces.
In childhood and adolescence, George loved alloys and went to the club “Young Firefighter”. Photo provided by relatives of the deceased soldier
– From the fifth to the eleventh grade my son studied in the Novoilinsky Cossack Corps named after Ataman Ermak – says the mother of the deceased soldier Tatiana, – From 7th to 10th grade he performed three times at the Victory Parade in Perm. And once he was the main one in his “box”. He participated in military training in Nizhny Novgorod, Ust-Kachka and other cities. He was independent and determined, set goals and achieved results. After 11th grade, the son wanted to go to military school in St. Petersburg, but did not pass and went to oil college as a driller.
During the service, George was able to visit Elbrus. Photo provided by relatives of the deceased soldier
According to Tatiana, Georgy was very responsible in mastering the specialty and for his aspiration and zeal he was offered a permanent job. Gregory worked shifts and studied at the same time. He tried to be independent, to prove that he was a man and an assistant to his family. Often and without any reason he gave gifts to relatives and helped everyone with what he needed.
The young soldier’s contract expired in the summer of 2022. Photo provided by relatives of the deceased soldier
– Before getting a diploma, my son went to the military enlistment office, – Tatiana continues. – He didn’t tell us anything and secretly passed the medical commission. He asked for either a landing party or a Marine Corps, he wanted the service to harden his character. And he told us exactly in a day that he was leaving for the army. In the first year of service, the son signed a contract – from June 29, 2020 to June 29, 2022 – but told us about it only when he came on vacation. After the contract ended, the son wanted to come to his native village and start a family. He said that a watch and a contract away from home is not a family. That we all need to be around. He loved his village and house very much. He said he would never sell it. He knew everything – from building a house from the ground up, to any other little things. A hard worker in life and a great helper to Dad, brother, me, grandmothers and everyone, everyone, everyone. We do not know how we will live without him.
For conscientious service, diligence and diligence George was awarded diplomas and thanks. Photo provided by relatives of the deceased soldier
